1 1/2 c. warm water (hot out of the faucet)
1 T. yeast
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. salt
1 T. oil
3-4 c. flour
Sprinkle yeast on top of warm water. Let set a minute to dissolve. Add remaining ingredients and flour. Mix with a wooden spoon. Mix again briefly every 15 min. for the next hour (total of 5 times). Roll into a rectangle and then roll up lengthwise, as for cinnamon rolls, but don't fill; just roll up and tuck under ends. Place on cookie sheet, make diagonal slits along the top if desired, cover with a clean towel and let rise 30 min. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 min.
